Denmark wants to further invest in Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan yesterday received Danish Minister of Trade and Development Cooperation Mogens Jensen on the occasion of his visit to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Chairman Le Hoang Quan stressed that the Vietnamese people always respected and remembered the support of the Danish Government and people to Viet Nam. Currently, Ho Chi Minh City attracted 49 investment projects from Denmark with total capital of US$ 60 million.

Danish Minister Mogens Jensen said that the European Union (EU) and Vietnam would sign Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in the upcoming times, aiming to strengthen further trade cooperation between the two countries.

Moreover, Danish enterprises want to cooperate and invest into Ho Chi Minh City in the fields of green technology, health and education, added the Danish minister.

On the same day, the Danish embassy to Vietnam held a Denmark- Vietnam enterprises workshop in order to boost economic development in both countries.
