Deputy PM of Laos on official visit to Vietnam

Mr. Le Hoang Quan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday held a meeting with Mr. Somsavad Lengsavath, Deputy Prime Minister of Laos during his official visit to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Mr. Le Hoang Quan said that this was a meaningful visit in the event of it being Vietnam-Laos Friendship Year. From the beginning of the year until now, high-ranking leaders and local ministries of the two countries have continued to build and strengthen the traditional relationship between the two countries.

Mr. Somsavad Lengsavath thanked the good feelings of the leaders and people of Ho Chi Minh City on behalf of the people and Government of Laos.

Mr. Somsavad Lengsavath also said that he and his delegation have on this visit learnt a lot, especially in the field of science and technology.

Mr. Le Hoang Quan stressed that Ho Chi Minh City is always willing to share experiences and support Laos in research and development in fields like economy, science and high-tech agriculture.

Chairman Quan affirmed that HCMC will create best conditions so that Laos can incorporate the advanced practices from models of high-tech development in Vietnam.
