Disadvantaged children nationwide receive Mid-Autumn Festival gifts

The Vietnam Children's Fund has launched many activities with a total capital fo VND 2.35 billion for nearly 7,000 disadvantaged children nationwide on the occasion of Mid-Autumn festival.

The fund handed over 600 gifts, 150 scholarships worth VND1 million of each, 200 study stationery sets and 50 bicyles to 600 poor children, icnlduing 200 Dan Lai ethnic minority people, in Nghe An Province’s Con Cuong District.
The organizer also sent 300 gifts and 300 scholarships to children in Ben Tre Province; and presented o kids in provinces, Hoa Binh, Thua Thien-hue, Ha Nam, Hanoi, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Phu Tho and Bac Giang.
National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan gave 418 presents worth VND300,000 of each to children in Son Duong District in the northern province of Tuyen Quang.
Meanwhile Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh offered 100 scholarships to students with good achievements.
Additionally, the Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation cooperated with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Ho Chi Minh City to give Mid-Autumn Festival gifts and scholarships to children in DakR’tih commune, Dak Nong Province’s Tuy Duc District; and Tan Thanh and hung Nhuong communes in Ben Tre Province’s Giong Trom District on September 30- October 1.
The delegation will travel to the central province of Quang Ngai to hand over presents to students of the Vo Hong Son Disability Children Care Center on October 15.
