Educator Van Nhu Cuong passes away at 80

Associate Professor Van Nhu Cuong passed away at the age of 80 at his home in Hanoi on October 9 after battle with liver cancer.
Associate Professor Van Nhu Cuong was born in 1937 in Nghe An Province. He was graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics of Hanoi University of Pedagogy and earned a Associate Ph.D. from the Academy of Sciences of the USSR in 1971.
He taught at Hanoi University of Pedagogy and Vinh University of Pedagogy.
He was founder and principal (1989-2014) of Luong The Vinh High School which was recognized as the first private school in Hanoi.
The veteran educator has written many textbooks for high school and college students. He is a respected teacher of many generations of Vietnamese students. Many people still remember the excellent teacher with an image of an old man with long white hair and beard, and heart-touching suggestion letters for students.
Assoc. Prof Van Nhu Cuong is also regarded as a hot oldest Facebooker in the country, attracting thousands of followers. He always keeps up with current events and news. His statuses have drawn hundreds of thousands of views and share comments from netizens.
