According to Mr. Tran Vinh Tuyen, Ho Chi Minh City is currently carrying out a project to build the city as a smart city in the period of 2017 to 2020 with a vision to 2025, including building modern technology infrastructure to bring more and more effectiveness on the city’s management and operation.

In order to reach the above target, the city needs cooperation of foreign enterprises, including European enterprises,he added.

According to Chairman of EuroCham Nicolas Audier, the signing of the EU- Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) will create opportunities to speed up trade between the parties.

Currently, many big cities in Europe also face urban problems like Ho Chi Minh City so many investment solutions have been implemented to solve this urgent issues.

Of which, there are projects to provide public services for people based on cooperation under form of public–private partnership (PPP) with the participation of the private sectors.

EuroCham wants to develop this model as well as promote PPP projects in Vietnam, he said.
