Work will start next year on Dau Giay- Tan Phu, one out of three stretches of Dau Giay-Lien Khuong expressway project, with the total capital of VND7,973 billion (US$357 million).
The Ministry of Transport has recently approved Dau Giay-Lien Khuong expressway linking the southern province of Dong Nai up to the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.
The project comprises three stretches Dau Giay- Tan Phu, Tan Phu-Bao Loc and Bao Loc-Lien Khuong.
The ministry will build Dau Giay- Tan Phu first in the first phase of the project in 2017. This section starts at the junction of National Highway 1A and HCMC-Long Thanh-Dau Giay expressway in Thong Nhat district and ends at Highway 20 in Tan Phu district, Dong Nai.
The four lane road will be built along 60 kilometers under BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) form with the permissible speed of100-120 kilometers an hour.
Dau Giay-Lien Khuong Expressway plays a significant role in reducing traffic pressure for Highway 20 and creates a motive power for socioeconomic development in the southeastern region and the Central Highlands.
