In the margin of the 16th Francophone Summit, Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang yesterday had bilateral meetings with state leaders and delegations from the member states of the Francophone International Organization.
In the meeting with French President Francois Hollande, the State president of Vietnam stressed that the recent visit of the French president created a new step for the Vietnam- France strategic relations.
President Francois Hollande has highly appreciated role and non- stop contributions of the partner for the Francophone community in the previous years.
The two sides were unanimous in building and developing the Francophone community in next coming time.
Vietnam and Senegal have cooperative potentialities of trade, agriculture and seafood, said President of Senegal Macky Sall at the meeting with the Vietnamese president adding that Senegal wants to learn about experiences of rice farming and agriculture of Vietnam, contributing ensuring food security for the African country.
In the contact with Alassane Ouattara- Côte d’lvoire president, Mr. Tran Dai Quang affirmed important role of the country as the second big commercial partner of Vietnam in Africa. The president of Côte d’lvoire highly appreciated Vietnamese investors and hoped that the two countries will continue cooperating in the fields of agriculture and cacao production.
The Vietnamese president and the Prime Minister of Mauritius Anerood Jugnauth expressed their pleasure for the Vietnam- Mauritius good bilateral trade and investment ties at yesterday bilateral meeting.
In an another context with the head of state, Swiss President Johann Schneider Ammann appreciated also advantageous negotiation progressing of the Vietnam- EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
At the 16th Francophone Summit, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic invited the Vietnamese President to visit his country in next time; and he strongly affirmed that Serbia is willing to cooperate with Vietnam at the international forums.
On the same day, President Tran Dai Quang had other bilateral meetings with President of Chad Idriss Déby Itno, Minister of External Relations of the Republic of Cameroon Lejeune Mbella Mbella, Minister and President of the Federation Wallonie -Bruxelles Rudy Demotte and head of the Egypt delegation to the summit Ibrahim Mahlab respectively.
