French Navy Ship Vendémiaire arrives in Da Nang

The French Navy Ship Vendémiaire docked at Tien Sa Port in the central coastal city of Da Nang on November 15, beginning its five-day visit to Vietnam.

The ship crew of 93 military officers and sailors led by Commander Hervé Siret will exchange experience and discuss about search and rescue works at sea with the Vietnam People's Navy and see the stunning landscapes of Da Nang.

The visit is expected to further consolidate the friendship between Vietnam and France in general and the two armies in particularly.

The navy ship Vendémiaire will be open to the public on November 16.
The vessel was put into service in 1993, operating in the Pacific region and based at Nouméa (capital of French New Caledonia in the Pacific Ocean).

The vessel in the past docked in Hai Phong on April 25-30, 2011.
