The People’s Committee of Ky Anh town in the north central province of Ha Tinh organized a program to celebrate the Tet holidays with over 300 foreign workers at Vung Ang Economic Zone on February 9, the second day of the lunar year.
The program aimed to help away from home workers celebrate a warm Tet holiday and ease their homesick. Besides that was a chance for local leaders to meet with investors and listen to their expectations.
Vung Ang Economic Zone has attracted 36 foreign enterprises. Some have poured huge capital in their projects, for instance Taiwanese Formosa Group has spent over US$10 billion on the first phase its projects.
Other large investors comprise Taiwanese Phu Vinh Infrastructure Building Company, Polaris Company and Samsung Group.
Projects have created jobs to over 22,000 people including 10,000 from Ha Tinh province.
