Hanoi reduces online work permit fee for foreigners

The People’s Council of Hanoi decided to reduce work permit fee to VND250,000 (US$11) for foreign workers with online applications at its third session on December 6.

The move aims to encourage businesses to attend online public service.

Council members also approved six other fee levels. Of them, the fee on the temporary use fee of road beds and pavements will remain unchanged at VND25,000-80,000 per square meter a month.

They decided Hanoi Parking Exploitation Company to pay the city six percent of its revenue instead of the current rate of 3 percent. The increase will apply for all districts except Hoan Kiem.

In addition, the council also permitted to hike sightseeing fee at Huong (Perfume) Pagoda from VND49,000 to VND78,000. Revenue is expected to raise VND36 billion over this year to reach VND103 billion next year.
