Hanoi to issue international driving licences online

The Hanoi Department of Transport will provide a level-four online service for issuing international driving licences from the first quarter of 2018 as part of the city’s administrative reforms to save time and money for citizens.

The department is working with the General Department of Vietnam Road to train officials and transfer software for the service.

The department has also coordinated with the Vietnam Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank) and the Hanoi Post to process online payments and deliver driving licences.

The re-issuance of international driving licences will also be performed online.
