HCM City celebrates the 62nd anniversary of Vietnam People’s Navy

A ceremony marking the 62nd founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Navy was held at the Ho Chi Minh Campaign Museum in Ho Chi Minh City on May 7.

Attending the meeting were Rear Admiral Dang Minh Hai, Deputy Political Commissar of the Vietnam People’s Navy (VPN);  Lieutenant General Tran Quang Khue, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army;  Vice Admiral Do Xuan Cong, former Commander of the Navy Force and more than 400 war veterans and soldiers.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Party and State, Rear Admiral Dang Minh Hai congratulated the Vietnam People's Navy and honor its constant growth. He also paid tribute to VNP’s generations who had contributions to the glorious traditions of the naval force.

He hoped the navy will continue to preserve and promote its heroic traditions in development and defense of the country.
