Ho Chi Minh City got the 4th position among the top five of the Vietnam’s Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) in 2014 with 62.73 points, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) announced on April 16.
It is the first time in 10 year that the country’s largest economic center ranked among the highest places.
The central city of Da Nang has once again topped Vietnam’s Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) with 66.87 points. This is the fifth time that the city has topped these rankings in ten years.
The top five included Dong Thap Province, Lao Cai Province, and Quang Ninh Province.
The capital of Ha Noi ranked 26 out of 63 nations and provinces nationwide.
The southern province of Ca Mau and Northern mountainous provinces’ of Bac Kan, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Lai Chau and Dien Bien were listed the bottom positions of the rankings with the fewest points.
