Heifer International's project aims to improve family income of farmers through integrated animal production in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue
The project will provide 80 female bulls and four male bulls to 40 poor families in Quang Vinh Commune.
Each family will be given a VND1.5 million (around US$100) loan to carry out their production plan. After 36 months, the original families will refund their money, and additional families will benefit from pass-ons.
The families will also receive training in animal management, livestock management, crop production and so on.
The project will last until 2010.
