Indian coast guard ship arrives in Da Nang

The Samudra Paheredar, Indian Coast Guard vessel carrying a crew of 122 officers and sailors docked at Tien Sa Port in the central coastal city of Da Nang on October 14, beginning its three-day official visit to Vietnam.

The ship’s crew led by Colonel Sanatan Jena paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of the Danang municipal People’s Committee, the High Command of Military Zone 5, and the High Command of the Vietnam Marine Police.

The two sides will exchange experience and discuss about environmental pollution prevention and search and rescue work at sea.

The ship’s crew visited the Maritime Police Zone 2 in Quang Nam Province and will see the stunning landscapes of Da Nang.

It is the fourth time a ship from India's Coast Guard  arrived in Vietnam.
