Int’l organizations support US$4trillion for climate change program in Vietnam

Minister of Nature Resources & Environment Nguyen Minh Quang said the government has planned VND3trillion program to invest in priority activities for climate change sector in 2015.

In the 2014-2015 periods, through this program, international organizations have supported over VND4trillion to Vietnam to implement the climate change’s solutions.

Deputy minister of finance Truong Chi Trung on behalf of Vietnam government and Yim Seong Hyeog-Deputy chairman of Korean Bank of Import & Export have just signed two loan agreements totaling nearly US$ 25million to expand Thien Tan Water manufacture plant in Dong Nai province for the second phase and the program to cope with climate change in 2014. 

This is two term of loans under the framework of agreement worth US$ 1.2billion for the 2012-2015 period.
