Lao Cai marks 110th establishment anniversary

State President of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang yesterday attended in a celebration of the 110th establishment anniversary of Lao Cai Province (July 12, 1907- 2017).

President Tran Dai Quang visited and gifted for 30 invalids, sick soldiers and martyr families who had contributions to the revolution of Lao Cai province. 

Speaking at the celebration, the president stressed that Lao Cai is the northwestern mountainous province with an important strategic position on politic, economy, society, defense & security and diplomacy.

The province has the advantage as a center for the economy and cultural exchange between Vietnam with ASEAN countries, China and the Mekong sub-regional countries...

The Vietnamese president suggested Party, authority and local people of Lao Cai province needed to implement overall solutions relating to increase its rapid and stable economic growth.

The province asked to develop the economic restructuring in line with labor market of each sectors towards a rapid increase of services and industry density. 

The northwest mountainous province should invest as well as  develop tours to Sa Pa, Lao Cai and Bac Ha; and build Sa Pa to be a national tourism area. 

On behalf of Party and State, the president attached the First class Independence Medal on traditional flag of Lao Cai province; and he acknowledged outstanding achievements of Party, authority and local people in building and protecting the country.
