Two officials including Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dzung and State general Auditor Nguyen Huu Van are exempted because the both have just been elected during the current NA meeting.
Speaking at the NA session being held in Hanoi NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung stressed that this was the first time the NA would carry out its supreme supervision over state and government activities.
"On behalf of voters the lawmakers will perform an important task to vote of confidence for officials holding important positions", he added.
The Chairman also pledged the NA would respect objectiveness, accuracy, fairness in the vote.
The Chairman said that there were four basic factors to conduct the vote.
He said that the first was self- reports on results of task performance, ethics and lifestyle by the officials that were sent to legislators 20 days ago; the second standard was the current economic-social, security and defense situation; the third was suggestions by voters in meetings between lawmakers with voters and results of hearings of the officials at the NA.
The fourth which is considered the most important is objective, justice ballots of the NA members, the NA Chairman said.
