Less traffic congestion in Tan Thanh border gate

The diminishing trade of watermelon along the Tan Thanh and Coc Nam border gates in Lang Son Province has drastically decreased traffic congestion on March 29, according to the Management Board of Tan Thanh Border Gate Economic Zone.

More than 1,000 trucks carrying watermelons were in line at the Tan Thanh border gate. Customs and officials worked overtime to clear 350 trucks per day.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has asked companies to temporarily transport watermelons to Lang Son Province in order to ease congestion.

The People’s Committee in Lang Son Province has sent staff to China to discuss expansion of warehouse and more border gates for custom clearance of watermelon.
