More than 600 medical workers and Buddhists from Minh Duc Charitable Association in Ho Chi Minh City examined and donated over 5,000 gifts, 50 tons of rice, 90 wheelchairs to impoverished citizens with disabilities in Loc Ha District, in the Central Province of Ha Tinh.
More than 500 dentures, 200 glasses, and numerous gratis eye operations will also be donated.
I have suffered blindness for years due to poverty, said Bui Thi Nhe, 70. Doctors performed operations restoring eyesight to seniors.
For over 10 years, Minh Duc Charitable Association has given free examinations to people in 13 provinces around the country.
