According to a document from the ministry, many accidents at work have recently occurred at construction projects such as traffic and hydropower.

The ministry has proposed provincial and municipal people’s committees to intensify inspection over how execution units obey labor safety and hygiene regulations. They should pay attention to works adjacent to residential areas and traffic roads.

Violations will be publicly announced on the media.

On March 25, a 20m high iron scaffold collapsed on the construction site of Formosa steel complex in Ky Anh district, the north central province of Ha Tinh. The accident killed 13 and injured 29 people.
