MOH ordered to launch campaign to call for people to consume home-made drugs

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan has just ordered the Ministry of Health to launch a campaign to call for people to consume home-made drugs.

The ministry should work out measures to encourage Vietnamese people to use high quality but fairy cheap medications made in the country.

Two institutes of drug quality control in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi have to strengthen cooperation with private firms in assessment of drug quality and ingredients. Campaign organizers could use the reliable assessment that proves home-made medications are as good as their foreign varieties to strengthen support for local-made drugs.

The ministry was asked to report on drug bidding projects quota of specific drugs to the government by the fourth quarter of the year.
