The power plan No.1 with the output of 750 kilowatts (kW), run with gas from Go Cat dumping ground, has produced 5,367,000 kilowatt-hour (kWh) for one year, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Environment Company.
The amount of electric power was sold to the Ho Chi Minh City Power Company.
The performance came from Go Cat dumping ground improvement project with the investment capital of US$16.5 million, of which 65 percent is supported by the Netherlands’ government and 35 percent came from the city authorities.
The gas reserve is estimated to be enough for two more dynamos of 750 kW and 920 kW power by the end of this year.
