Myanmar opens consulate in HCM City

The Union of Myanmar opened a consulate in Tan Binh District, HCM City Friday.

Dam Trung Bac, general director of Global Manpower Service Joint Stock Company, was entrusted the honor general consulship.

The new office will mean southern Vietnamese do not have to visit Hanoi to apply for visas.

Vietnam and Myanmar officially established diplomatic relations in May 28, 1975. About one hundred Burmese currently live in Vietnam.
