Vietnam National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong and high delegation of Vietnam’s leaders Friday arrived in Canadian capital city of Ottawa to attend a G-20 consultation of parliamentary speakers.
The trip is carrying out at the invitation of Speaker of the Senate of Canada Noel A. Kinsella.
In the evening Mr. A.Kinsella held a banquet to welcome G 20 delegations’ leaders.
G20 is a group of 19 largest economies (measured in GDP) and Euro zone, which held their first meeting in 2008. Collectively, the G-20 economies comprise 85% of global gross national product, 80% of world trade (including EU intra-trade) and two-thirds of the world population
Vietnam together with Ethiopia, Malawi and Nigeria made their first G-20 summit attendances in Toronto in June 2010 at the invitation of the Canadian Prime Minister.
