NA leader works in Thai Binh

Politburo member, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan led a delegation to visit and work with leaders of Thai Binh province, yesterday.

At the working, Secretary of Thai Binh Province Party Committee Nguyen Hong Dien reported its socio- economic achievements as well as missions in building the Party and political system in the past time.

Thai Binh has achieved and surpassed its 2018 targets, including Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) being estimated to increase 10.58 percent, production value up to 12.26 percent in comparison to 2017.

2017 was considered as the third consecutive year that the province’s economy reached a double-digit growth, exceeded the plan. 

Local budget revenue in the first- ten months of 2018 reached VND 12.3 trillion, surpassing 6 percent of the estimate.

Of which, its domestic revenue reached nearly VND 4.9 trillion, equal to 76 percent of the estimate, and taxes on exports and imports at VND 1.1 trillion, up 30 percent. 

Total investment capital of Thai Binh province has hit over VND 50.5 trillion from the beginning of the year up to now, increasing 17.1 percent over 2017 and doubling compared to the target.

The NA leader desired the northern province would continue to harvesting more achievements, boosting administrative reform, improving business and investment environment, building coastal economic zones, carrying out coastal road lines connecting traffic corridors of the coastal provinces to attract more domestic and foreign enterprises. 

Additionally, she suggested the Thai Binh province’s Fatherland Front Committee continues to proving role as a bridge between the Party, authorities and people in order to protect the legitimate rights and benefits of the people.
On the same day, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Tran Thanh Man attended in the National Unity Day and visited, offered special gifts for 12 families under preferential treatment policy and poor households in village of Nam O Trinh.

The delegation also planted memorial trees and laid wreaths at the Memorial House of late leader Nguyen Duc Canh in Diem Dien town of Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province.
