Addressing the event, head of the NA Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc said that the National Assembly TV channel will serve as the legislature’s official organ providing comprehensive coverage of the activities of the top legislative body and local People’s Councils.

It will help voice voters’ opinions and aspirations swiftly and fully as well as acting as a bridge connecting the NA with voters and as a forum for them to exchange ideas in order to increase the NA’s operation efficiency, he added.

At the 18th meeting of the 13th NA Standing Committee on May 16, 2013, the Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) was assigned to be in charge of producing the National Assembly TV channel.

Since October 2014, the channel has had a trial run for five hours a day on VOV TV channel.

With joint efforts over 200 reporters, editors and technicians, the channel is now broadcast around the clock.
