National Highway 1A to be expanded

The work of expanding National Highway 1A in the central coastal province of Binh Thuan kicked off on June 2.

The expansion section of the National Highway runs from Hong Thai Commune in Bac Binh District to Ham Duc Commune in Ham Thuan Bac District over a length of 50km.

The investment for the expansion work of about VND2,600 billion has come from Binh Thuan BOT (Built-Operation-Transfer) Joint Stock Company.

The six-lane highway is expected to complete by 2015 and will ease traffic flow and connect the province with neighboring provinces in the Southern Economic Zone, besides opening opportunities for tourism and other socio-economic benefits in Binh Thuan Province.
