National Highways 1A, 14 to be expanded

The work of expanding National Highway 1A in the central coastal province of Quang Ngai has kicked off.

The expansion section of the National Highway runs through Tu Nghia, Mo Duc and Duc Pho Districts covering a length of 30km.

The investment for the expansion work of about VND2,200 billion has come from Thien Building and Investment Joint Stock Company and Thanh An Construction Corporation. The project is expected to complete by end of 2015.

National Highway 14 in the highland province of Gia Lai will also be expanded.

The expansion section covers a length of 60km at a cost of VND1,800 billion. Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) will fund VND1,600 billion and the remaining money will come from enterprises.
