Nearly VND2 trillion to upgrade Cam Ranh Airport

The People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province on March 15 held a breaking ground ceremony for the construction of Runway 2 of the Cam Ranh International Airport with total investment capital of nearly VND2 trillion.

The People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province on March 15 held a breaking ground ceremony for the construction of Runway 2 of the Cam Ranh International Airport with total investment capital of nearly VND2 trillion.

The Runway 2 is a Code 4E runway, designed to handle large aircraft, comprising of A320, A321, B737, B767-300, B787, and A350-900.

Besides, the project will upgrade strips that connect to the Runway 2 and the apron to ensure operations of two civil wide-bodied airplanes during peak hours. It will also build a synchronic air traffic control system which meets standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization.

Currently, the Runway 1 of the Cam Ranh International Airport is downgrading and damaged.
