North- south railway line to resume on June 26

Vietnam Railways Corporation yesterday announced that Vietnam's north-south railway line between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi will officially resume its operation from June 26 after collapse of the Ghenh railway bridge in Dong Nai in April.

As the plan, all train journeys departing from and to Ho Chi Minh City will be officially reopened.

Besides, five freight trains departing from Giap Bat to Song Than Station will also be allowed to run across the Ghenh bridge.

Vietnam Railways Corporation will provide information concerning departure and schedule at train stations and retail dealers or passengers especially ones who will departure from June 26- 30.

Transportation across Ghenh railway bridge was interrupted during three months after a barge crashed and collapsed Ghenh bridge which is a key route on March 20.
