Number of Non-Party Member of Fatherland Front to Increase by 30%

The number of members of Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committees who are not members of Vietnamese Communist Party at the district and provincial levels will increase by 30 percent over the current number, according to a resolution passed by delegates at a conference organized by the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee yesterday in Ha Noi.

The conference outlined the preparatory tasks for the organization of the General Meeting of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front at all levels, paving way for the convention of the 7th National General Meeting of Vietnamese Fatherland Front Delegates.

Delegates at the conference agreed on the organizational structure and the number of members of Vietnamese Fatherland Front committees at the district and provincial levels.

According to them, members of Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committees at district and provincial levels will be typical individuals that represent for every class, walk of life, race, religion as well as Overseas Vietnamese. These individuals must be qualified for their duties to be assigned by the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee.

A resolution provides that the number of members of Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committees who are not members of Vietnamese Communist Party at the district and provincial levels will rise by 30 percent compared to the current number.

Delegates at the conference emphasized that the increase of the number of non-party members will help make the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee the largest political union and voluntary alliance in the country.
