Over 25,000 Vietnamese laborers working overseas in first quarter

The Department of Overseas Labor Management (Dolab) under the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs said that more than 25,000 Vietnamese laborers including 7,733 female workers worked overseas in the first quarter of the year.

In March around 8,560 laborers went to abroad to work. Of them, 2,573 are female workers. 5,953 Vietnamese workers are working in Taiwan (China) including 1,678 female workers; 1,618 Vietnamese workers were sent to Japan including 563 female laborers; 262 to South Korea with 20 female people; 328 workers to Malaysia with 210 female persons and many working in the Middle East countries.

Accordingly, the rate of Vietnamese laborers worked overseas in the first quarter reached 27.12 percent of the year plan and 110,7 percent compared to the same period last year.
