Over VND 1.3bln & gifts offered 1,300 Vietnamese households in Cambodia

The delegation from HCMC’s Oversea Vietnamese Committee led by Vo Thanh Chat, Vice chairman visited and gifted to Vietnamese people in Phasar Chhnang ward, Kompong Chhnang in Cambodia, worth VND 1.325billion, on December 4.

Over 1,300 Vietnamese households that, earn living from fishing in rivers in Cambodia, would be moved out of the area because the government would develop river tourism industry and solve the environmental pollution.

A total money and gifts is part of the city’s budget (VND 125million);  the national fund for the poor of HCMC’s Fatherland front Committee (VND 550million) and the support of the city’s enterprises.
On this occasion, the delegation’s doctors examined and gave free of charge medicine to over 600 households.
