Over VND 34 bln donated native land's sea & islands fund

Standing Boards of the Fatherland Front Committees of Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) held an art exchange program themed ‘Towards national borders, sea and islands’ at Ho Chi Minh City Television Theater yesterday.

Attending in the program were Vice Political Commissar of Naval Armed Service Dang Minh Hai, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Marine Police Hoang Van Dong, Chairwoman of HCMC People's Council Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam, Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Hoang Nang and others.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nang said: “In the previous time, the organizations and individuals have actively donated for the native land's sea and islands fund therefore Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City organized series of meaningful activities such as two organizing journeys to Spartly Island and DK1 Frame House, building schools at Song Tu Tay (Southwest Cay) Island, visiting and gifting soldiers of Submarine Brigade 189 in Cam Ranh, and granting houses of gratitude for soldiers with total cost of over VND 40 billion.

At the program, the organizations and individuals donated more VND 34 billion for native land's sea and islands fund.
