At the meetings, voters voiced their ideas on many matters of public concern, such as the unsatisfactory results in the combat against bureaucracy, corruption and wastefulness, poor performance by several government agencies in the fight, the increasing gap between localities and regions, and the poor socio-economic infrastructure in remote areas.

The voters said that the State should implement policies that allow localities and businesses to make their own decisions, help businesses to access financial resources, and assist localities in attracting domestic and foreign investment.

The State should also pour more investment into infrastructure construction in poor mountainous provinces and pay more attention to improving workers’ spiritual and material life, they said.

General Secretary Manh affirmed that the Party and State have always concentrated efforts on narrowing the gap between areas and regions, and improving the living conditions in areas inhabited by ethnic minority people, former revolutionary bases and remote areas.

The Party leader urged Thai Nguyen province to focus its strengths, together with aid from the government and neighboring provinces, to upgrade infrastructure facilities – a decisive factor to ensure sustainable development of localities and narrow the gap between areas and regions.
