Passenger banned from flights for false bomb threat

The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) has given a 9-month ban to a man who issued a false bomb threat when he implemented check-in procedures at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi on August 16.

L.T.H, 26, a resident from Hanoi’s Gia Lam District, has been banned for nine months, from September 16, 2017 to June 15, 2018. He will have to undergo compulsory checks from June 16, 2018, to December 15,2018 to board a flight.
The passenger was accused of making bomb threats while carrying out security procedures at terminal 1 prior to boarding the flight VN1565 from Hanoi to Nha Trang.
The CAAV has also asked all Vietnam airline firms and foreign aviation firms that are operating in Vietnam are not allowed to provide domestic or international flight services to L.T.H during the period.
