Import tariff rates on leaded and unleaded petrol fuel - as well as aviation petrol - will rise from 10 to 15 percent today, according to a decision by the Ministry of Finance.

Responding to Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper’s questions about whether local prices will be lowered, Mr. Nguyen Van Sang, vice director of the Local Market Policy Department under the Ministry of Trade, said: “The local price will be reduced only in the case that the world petrol price decreases for 20 consecutive days”.
