PM approves to support VND115 bln for 12 flood & storm- hit- provinces

The Vietnamese Prime Minister has decided to use VND 115 billion from the 2016 central government budget to support ten north & north central localities which have seriously been affected by the storms, rains and floods this year.

Yen Bai city was seriously flooded after the third storm.

Particularly, VND 90 billion will be provided for provinces Hoa Binh, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An for repairing irrigation, rural traffic and dyke systems priorly. Yen Bai province alone will be supported VND 25 billion.
 
The Prime Minister also required Ministry of Finance to provide nearly 6,900 tons of rice for the north central provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh in order to ensure food source for local residents after the provinces were hit by the long- lasting heavy rains and flash flood.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc also asked the localities should deliver rice to support timely for effected families.
