Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, his wife and a high-level delegation left Ha Noi today for an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The three-day visit, by invitation of the UAE Vice President and PM Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, is the first to UAE by a Vietnamese prime minister since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1993.
During the visit, the two sides will sign a number of treaties that facilitate trade and investment activities between Vietnam and UAE. Both sides will also discuss measures to strengthen coordination at international and regional forums.
Accompanying PM Dung in the visit are around 100 business representatives that want to seek opportunities in UAE.
UAE is one of the leading economies of the Arab world and is a major financial center in the Gulf. UAE has great economic potential and is Vietnam’s biggest partner in the region.
