PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc also surveyed aquaculture farms of fishermen being damaged by the typhoon and offered gifts to local schools in Van Ninh district and Ninh Hoa town.

Deputy Chairman of the People’s Committee of Van Ninh district Vo Luc Pham said that there were at least 19 dead, 598 collapsed houses and 14,000 up-roof houses in the locality. 

The district of Van Ninh had nearly 13,000 aquaculture floating gardens which were completely destroyed by typhoon Damrey with total damage of VND 4 trillion.

On the same day, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc will have a meeting with leaders of Khanh Hoa province relating to overcoming consequences after the natural disaster.
