PM provides emergent aids to 34 provinces after drought, salinity

The Prime Minister decided to support VND523.7 billion (US$23 million) as emergency relief to 34 localities that are suffering drought and salinity.

The amount taken from the state budget was given to 21 northern provinces, 4 central provinces, , 9 Mekong delta provinces and 1 eastern province and  1 highlands province.

The Prime Minister spent VND81.1 billion from the state budget to six provinces including the central province of Quang Tri, the highlands province of Dak Lak, Dak Nong, the Mekong delta provinces of Long An, An Giang and Dong Thap as emergency relief after drought and salinity.

Climate forecasters said that the drought and salinity would last until June.
