President Tran Dai Quang visits Bangladesh

Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang and his wife led a high- ranking delegation to pay a State visit to the People's Republic of Bangladesh on March 4-6.

The visit was made at an invitation of President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Mohammad Abdul Hamid.
The official welcoming ceremony that included cannon salute took place in Hazrat Shahjalal airport.  

Yesterday evening, the Vietnamese delegation visited and talked with staffs and officials of the Vietnamese embassy, representatives of Vietnamese community who are living and studying in Bangladesh. 

Earlier, President Tran Dai Quang received Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali.

The visit aims to affirm that Vietnam has maintained diplomatic policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification of international relations; and always respected enhancing traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Bangladesh.
