President Tran Duc Luong has sent a Message of Condolence to the Typhoon Chanchu’s Victims and urged the authorities of provinces and cities to encourage and help victims’ families soon overcome the disaster.

President Tran Duc Luong has sent a message to the party, authorities and people of provinces and cities Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and National Rescue Committee, the Central Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Control, High Command of Border Guard, High Command of Navy, and Sea Police Department. Following is the message:

Typhoon Chan Chu has caused extensive losses in human lives and properties to our fishermen in provinces and cities Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai.

I’d like to express my deep condolences to the party, authorities and people of provinces and cities of Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, especially families of the victims.

I highly commend the rescue missions of the local rescuers, border guards, Navy Department, Sea Police Department and relevant authorities who have made the best efforts to look for and rescue fishing boats and fishermen in distress and mobilized the assistance of foreign rescuers.

I urge relevant departments to continue to coordinate with the authorities of provinces and cities to encourage and help victims’ families to overcome the disaster as soon as possible.
