The WEF 2019 with a theme “Globalization 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution” is expected to convene around 3,000 participants, including 50 State and Government leaders and many representatives from international organizations.

Participation of the Vietnamese delegation in the WEF 2019 will contribute to advertisement of socio- economic achievements and international integration development of Vietnam, and sharing important policies and measures of the Vietnamese Government about this year’s socio- economic development.

Additionally, this is also an opportunity for Vietnam to introduce a process of deep international economic integration especially the implementation of new free trade agreements that Vietnam has been negotiating or signed earlier, including the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the upcoming Agreement for the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).

In the framework of the conference, Vietnam and WEF are expected to sign a cooperation agreement about building the Center for the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in Vietnam and the Letter of Intent about cooperation for plastic waste solution.
