Rate of jobless graduates lessens

More than 215,000 college graduates were unemployed in the fourth quarter of 2017, according to the Institute of Labor Science and Social Affairs under the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

In its update of Vietnam’s labor market of the fourth quarter and forecast of demand in next months released yesterday, the Institute announced of 1.07 million unemployed people, over 215,000 are university graduates.
However, the rate of jobless graduates has decreased by 21,700 people.
According to Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Doan Mau Diep, the country’s economy is better with growth rate of 7.7 percent. The number of newly established enterprises and total operating firms increases, helping reduce unemployed students.

As per the study, laborers’ income in the fourth quarter of 2017 was improved compared to same quarter of 2016.
Also as per the forecast, in 2018, the sectors of health, IT, service care will develop fast and they need a large number of the employees.
