Remains of Vietnamese Soldiers Repatriated

Four hundred and three sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers in Cambodia were repatriated, reported the Political Department of Military Zone 7.

The news is released at the meeting held on Aug. 22 by the department to review the search for and repatriation of remains of Vietnamese volunteers in Cambodia.

Of the sets of remains, 381 are nameless, said the department. Over the past 7 years, a total of 5,588 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers in Cambodia have been repatriated, of which 5,248 sets are unknown, the department reported.

Currently, 703 graves of combatants in five provinces in Cambodia have been confirmed to be of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers, said the department.

The department said it would continue its efforts in search for graves of Vietnamese soldiers in Cambodia for repatriation.
