Road-wrecking landslide blocks traffic on mountain pass

Until 9.30 AM yesterday, one lane of a stretch of Bao Loc Mountain Pass in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong linking the provincial tourist city of Da Lat with Ho Chi Minh City that was blocked by cascading soil and rocks the day before was re-opened.

The stretch of the mountain pass was blocked by massive landslide following heavy downpour on the day before.
Millions of tons of earth moved, displacing tens of kilometers of land at 3PM; luckily, no death toll or injuries were reported as the incident took place at night.
Being informed, the mountain pass management unit mobilized four special-purpose vehicles and ten construction workers cleared the debris of the landslide.
Additionally, traffic police officers controlled traffic in both directions of the mountain pass.
Until 7 PM on the same day, the mountain pass was totally cleared and made through for traffic.
Rescue workers were keeping working to cleared a large quantity of cascading soil and rocks.
