Sai Gon Giai Phong Gives Relief Cash to Central Viet Nam

The charity taskforce of Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper and some businessmen on Sunday handed over relief aid for tens of typhoon victim families near the central coastal province of Hue.

The taskforce provided a sum of relief cash of VND120 million to 40 families in the mountainous district of Nam Dong near Hue, whose house were completely razed to the ground by the giant storm.

Thousands of families in the Nam Dong district are homeless due to the massive destruction of over 1,000 vulnerable houses.

On the same day, the taskforce paid a visit and handed out relief cash of VND90 million to 30 families in Loc Vinh village of Hue.

Vice Chairman of the Hue People’s Committee Ngo Hoa expressed his gratitude to the newspaper’s staff and generous benefactors for their big donations to ease the pain of typhoon-affected villagers.

So far, the taskforce has delivered the relief cash of over VND650 million to nearly 200 homes in the central coastal provinces of Hue, Quang Nam, Da Nang.
