Saigontourist Golf Tournament organizers plan to offer 500 scholarships

On the occasion of Saigontourist Holding Company’s 43rd anniversary, organizers of Saigontourist Golf Tournament 2018 kicked of the event with expectation to collect VND600 million($25,848) to the Ho Chi Minh City Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients.

Saigontourist Golf Tournament organizers plan to offer 500 scholarships

The amount will be donated to fund 500 scholarships worth VND1.2 million each for poor students with good academic records in Ho Chi Minh City’s Can Gio District and the Mekong Delta provinces of Tien Giang, Long An and Ben Tre.
As a part of activities to mark the anniversary, the event will kick off on July 28 and the award-giving ceremony will be on the same day. Golfers and visitors will have chance to receive many gifts including plane tickets, televisions.
From 2006, Golf Saigontourist event has raised fund of VND7.7 billion for social charity including 4,000 scholarships each worth VND1.2 million for the HCMC Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients, needy and disabled students with good studying performance.
This year, it is expected to attract 150 golfers from organizations, newspapers and partners.
Many enterprises such as Vietcombank, Gao Restaurant, Saigon Commercial Bank, International Tourist Club, Vegas Club of Caravelle Hotel, Imex Pan Pacific Group, Thai Village, International Tourist Club, Vietnam Golf & Country Club, Palm Gold (Monte Carlo, Petro House, Grand Club, MClub), Suntory PepsiCo Việt Nam, Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar , Que Huong Liberty, BreadTalk, TBS Group, ECCO, Minh Long I will join the event to raise funds for charity activities.
